You might have noticed that the site is in transition from TheFitInk.com to EatWellMoveWell.com.

We have a new name with Eat Well Move Well, and a new logo, but our philosophy hasn’t changed!

We believe that everyone can learn how to feed their body delicious, beautiful and nutrient rich real food! We stand behind whole body all day natural movement and efficient and intelligent exercise programming! We believe in getting you and keeping you healthy so much that we want to say it with our name!

It matters. Every bite that you choose has the power to nourish you and help you thrive. From choosing the most seasonal, fresh and local food, to learning how to prepare it and enjoy it – we believe in simple, real and time tested practices. We lean on the wisdom of our ancestors and our understanding of nutrition science to make the best decisions for our families and our students.


It matters. Our cellular health depends on the stimulation provided by movement. From modifying our work environment so we can be more dynamic during the day, to planning how we spend our free time, we find a way to make life truly active – without disrupting the rhythm of work and creativity, but blending our passion for productivity with the passion for health. Exercise comes as a supplement on those days when we didn’t get to move enough, or as a part of specific goals, such as developing strength or endurance for a specific task.

The legacy of the Fit Ink

It’s where we started.

“Ink” brings to mind the pages of a book, newspaper, or magazine, but with the advent of e-ink screens, you can now have the illusion of black ink on white paper with inexpensive devices like Amazon’s Kindle Touch.

While both of us at The Fit Ink (now EatWellMoveWell) began our passion for writing with pen on paper, things have changed over the years, as typewriters eliminated our writer’s cramp, and then word processors eliminated the many crumpled sheets of paper that even Wite-Out couldn’t fix. Today, the world of text is split between print and pixel, but the passion for the message remains.

How can you best use the information here?

Here, you will find articles, videos, books, ebooks, pictures, and programs that will help you coach yourself to great health – whether you are looking for a way to eat a bit better or you want to lose lose a little or a lot of unwanted weight. Maybe you’ve felt quite stiff for a while and you would like to be more active – stretch, walk, or start strength training! Or you are looking for a way to make your office healthier – transitioning to a stand up desk and exercise breaks!

View More: http://shannonleith.pass.us/denzelLike I said above, I used to be fat, but now I’m not. I lost a lot of fat and a lot of weight, and I’ve kept it off for about eleven years now. In these years, I’ve learned a lot, and my quest to get fit and trim has morphed into a passion for fitness and nutrition that I didn’t know I had hidden inside of me. That passion has led to competing and training in Kettlebell Sport, in addition to becoming an IKFF certified kettlebell coach.

As someone who’s always been passionate about food and cooking, I’m proud to say that my weight loss journey has also spawned an interest in healthier eating. I’m a self-taught cook, unless you count Sunset Magazine and Julia Child, but a large part of my nutritional education comes from Precision Nutrition, where I got my certification as a Precision Nutrition Coach.

I lost 75 pounds

It’s really not that simple, although it sounds good in my elevator speech. “I lost 75 pounds” is enough to start a conversation.

I did lose 75lbs, of course, but I’ve since added some muscle, and today I’m about 200 pounds, but leaner than when I was at my all time low of 160. Yes, I lost fat and gained muscle, so the actual weight loss claim is problematic. In fact, if I go by pure weight and my all time, but short lived, high of 275, I’ve lost 110 pounds!

Yes, I finished the Whole30, and "I'm doing fine."

I’m a strong advocate of the paleo diet, although I prefer to call it an ‘ancestral’ diet, instead; we only have to look back hundreds of years – and in many cases to our great grandparents – to see the diet that we were meant to eat, not thousands or millions of years!

Together with my wife, I’m the author of “Man on Top: Lose Fat, Get Fit, and Control Your Weight for Life,” which is our men’s fat loss lifestyle book. While “Man on Top” was inspired by my own story, it’s system reflects what I’ve learned after losing my own weight and keeping it off for ten years, plus Galya’s experience owning a successful gym and overseeing thousands of clients. It’s the system that we use today, with our own personal training clients!

We also wrote “The Real Food Reset” – a great introduction to eating a diet of unprocessed food, learning how your body reacts to certain foods, and starting to understand how your mood, energy and strength can greatly improve if you modify your diet.

Our latest self-coaching book is a collection of lessons from the last 5 years of coaching and is due to come out in the spring of 2016.

I am a Restorative Exercise™ Specialist, personal trainer, nutrition coach, cookbook author, wellness speaker and educator. I specialize in working with people with specific needs, from pregnancy and postnatal recovery, to low back and knee pain, diabetes or osteoporosis. I also work alongside clients who just want to lose some fat and get in shape.  I have created a growing online consulting practice, and get to work with people all over the world! I am also passionate about corporate wellness culture ad have been consulting for large companies for the last 7 years.

I enjoy cooking and working on new recipes daily, and while some of my girly ones didn’t make the ‘‘Man on Top” cooking section, I promise to keep you well fed with delicious and easy to make healthy food. Food Revolution

Galya and I are proud to represent Orange County as Food Revolution Ambassadors!

As Orange County’s Ambassadors to Food Revolution, our mission is to educate kids, families and our community about the value of real and nutritious food and to have fun while doing it!

In 2012 we held a Real Food Scavenger Hunt and Picnic, plus a Stone Soup Party!

In 2013 we held a FRD Carnival at RSM’s Athlete’s Choice, and over 100 people came to play, cook, and eat.

In 2014, we did a Farmer’s Market Tour and Cooking Class, where kids and parents got to choose unusual foods, bring them to our kitchen, and FEAST! 

2015 is going to be even bigger! Save the date, the big day for 2015 is May 15th!

We will be announcing a detailed schedule of events, but you can expect games and athletic activities for the kids, cooking classes, sustainability lectures, and even urban gardening demos!
